Hello! My name is Kristin and I am currently on my way to becoming a dental hygienist. I feel very fortunate to be enrolled in the dental hygiene program and to be able to pursue my dream of having a career in the dental field. When I'm not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, hiking, shooting, and reading.
I've always been interested in the dental field, and have known that I wanted to be a hygienist from the time I was a child. I attended school for dental assisting and received my degree and license in 2006, but then took some time off to take care of my mom while she fought cancer. I am now back in school and in my second term of the dental hygiene program, and I am very excited to be moving forward on this path.
I have created this site for one of the courses that I am taking this semester, Dental Hygiene Care for Patients with Special Needs. Along the way, I will be creating a mock case study and researching specific special needs topics. I'm very excited to use these methods to learn how to better serve and accommodate my future patients.
